Yoga on Third is a small-town yoga studio offering versatile, casual and comfortable yoga classes for all experience levels.

Classes

GENTLE FLOW

If you’ve never tried yoga, start here to get a feel for some gentle stretching and meditation. It’s our coziest type of class where you’ll explore lots of seated and passive poses. Props are encouraged to facilitate practice and it’s safe and comfortable for most injured, pregnant or new beginners.

MELLOW FLOW

Compared to Gentle, Mellow classes include more standing and strengthening postures. Begin to express your breath with each movement and find some flow! It is a more traditional vinyasa style, but we like to mix it up with non-traditional music and fun sequences.

FIND YOUR STRENGTH

Everyone has incredible strength within them. Just think about the daily struggles and obstacles of everyday life. YOU are strong. YOU are powerful. Why not embrace and increase this strength in your yoga practice? Challenge yourself by moving slowly and holding the poses longer to really “feel the burn.” Focusing on core engagement and the slow twitch muscle fibers, this class is definitely for someone who wants to gain overall strength and endurance. We like to keep this class fun and energized by playing rockin’ music that you can’t help but sing along to.

RESTORATIVE

Restorative yoga is meant to truly be a way to rest, physically and mentally. These classes offer a gentle and restful type of physical practice that uses lots of props, blankets and comfy support to allow your body to relax into a shape and remain still for 5-10 minutes. The instructor will help to guide you into the pose, fluff your pillows and make you fully cozy. All of the poses are either seated or reclined with no muscular or mental effort. It’s the epitome of intentional resting, a time to turn inward, reflect and restore your mind and body.

PRIVATE AND SMALL GROUP LESSONS

Not sure where to start or want a little extra guidance? Private lessons offer a casual, yet structured environment for you to learn the basics, receive personalized coaching or develop a deeper understanding of how your yoga practice can manifest in your daily life. We love creating custom lesson plans and working with anyone who is curious about yoga, the mind and the body. You may request to schedule semi-private or private instruction with any of our certified instructors. Pricing will vary for small groups, parties or special requests. BUTI

Buti Yoga transforms your body and soul with cardio-intensive bursts of tribal dance, primal movement and conditioning woven into a dynamic yoga practice. It fuses power yoga with cardio-intensive tribal dance and body sculpting primal movement to tone the deep abdominal muscles that stabilize and strengthen the body.

YOGA BAND

(No, it’s not a musical group.) Level up your yoga practice by adding variable resistance with the flex band. Bands provide a fun and individualized challenge to a wide variety of poses and functional range of motion exercises. They add just enough resistance and feedback to encourage more accurate positioning, alignment, and muscle engagement. These light weight bands are excellent travel companions, too. Come learn how you can excite, target, and tone your whole body by adding these bands to your yoga practice. Beginners are welcome! Caution: you will sweat and LOVE it!

COZY EVENING FLOW

This class is offered specifically on Sunday nights to help relax, release, and unwind. Anxiety is generally at an all-time high on Sunday as we anticipate the week ahead. In this class we offer an all levels flow that allows us to build a little heat as well as work into more passive poses in order to find a comfortable stretch. All levels are welcomed as we simultaneously end our weekend and begin our week on the right foot. Get ready, get set, get cozy!

ENERGIZING FLOW

MINDFUL YOGA FLOW

This is a heartfelt, mindful practice that includes postures (asana) and breath work (pranayama), and meditation to connect deeply within while improving strength and flexibility. Within practice, we will work on focusing on the present moment, acknowledging and accepting feelings and thoughts, and connecting mind, body, and spirit.
